Make Room For Craft

MAKE LOCAL CONNECT LOCAL

IMG-20190615-WA0025__01.jpg

This is an initiative by 3 artists Elina Peduzzi , Manasvi Bhushan and Harshika Amin to connect artists and artisans to their local community.

We focus on connecting with the local community in an intimate setting through pop-up shops. We are bringing the pop-up shop to boutiques, galleries and art studios, to open up space for conversations between the artist and the local residents.

Our pop-up shops largely feature creative works of women who are makers, artists, designers and artisans. The pop ups will feature no more than 3 to 4 artists at a time, allowing more time and space for personal narratives to be shared.

Our intention is to create a platform for the artist to share her work with her local neighborhood.

About Us:

Elina Peduzzi creates jewelry inspired by her love for history, travels, and world cultures, bringing together unique elements of the past into the present. Combining fabrication and casting, her work fuses ancient techniques with a contemporary and minimalist urban vibe.  https://elinapeduzzi.com

Manasvi Bhushan is a co-founder at Saeyri. She and her fellow co- founder Rujuta want to create modern jewelry designed for those with an eclectic taste. The jewelry is handmade by artisans in India, who bring an uncanny understanding of materials and mastery over the craft; breathing life into each Saeyri and making it their own expression. http://www.saeyri.com/

Harshika Amin conceptualized trivial PURSUITS. It is an artisan label centred in the core beliefs and values she holds as an Architect, Dancer and Maker. The jewelry she creates explore 3-dimensional forms crafted from ideas inspired by nature, geometry and the materials themselves. She primarily works with yarn and metal (bronze and silver) and recently been incorporating traditional bead work techniques into the jewelry.
